Odd Thomas || Take On Philosophy.
I like this, a lot. It’s similar to what I was thinking about today:
People claim to be open-minded…but what does that even mean?? “ready to entertain new ideas”? I should open my mind to “entertain new ideas”? Doesn’t that mean you’re susceptible to anything? Those who claim to be open-minded and “recommend it” to me often have their own viewpoints, that are absolute, and reject mine. Inconsistent much?
What do we base our accepting, or ‘entertaining’, of “new ideas” on? Whether we like it or not? Or whether its true or not? Hmmmm.
